Mark Bowers, PMP, ACC

Mark Bowers’ passion is to help leaders make a distinctive and sustainable social impact. He enjoys working with leaders and managers wherever they are in an organization, and he is particularly focused on the social sectors: nonprofits, government, education and other groups that are looking to make a difference.

Mark has over 30 years in leadership and management of government, business and information technology efforts. Following a 20 year Navy career as a submarine officer, he joined Concurrent Technologies Corporation (CTC) as a Principal Technical Program Manager.  After CTC, Mark served several years with RGS Associates as Practice Director for Technology Programs.

After departing the corporate workforce, Mark established Lighthouse One LLC to leverage his skills in strategic planning, coaching, and systematic performance improvement for the benefit of leaders eager to convert good intention into great results for the communities they serve.

Mark serves as Past-President of the Board of Directors for the Hampton Roads chapter of the International Society for Performance Improvement (ISPI). He has also served on the Board of Directors for the Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business Council (SDVOSB-C) as well as the Project Management Institute Hampton Roads Chapter. Mark is a credentialed coach, a trained facilitator, and volunteer caseworker for the Navy Marine Corps Relief Society.

Lynn Banis has devoted over 30 years to the development of human and organizational potential.  As an executive coach, she is recognized for her clarity of thought, ability to ask deep questions, and business acumen. At Andersen Worldwide (Accenture and Andersen), Lynn facilitated global change management initiatives and coached and consulted with senior partners on performance excellence. She led firm wide mentoring programs and introduced internal coaching concepts.  As Director of Training and Development at Children’s Hospital and also at Tidewater Healthcare Systems, Lynn implemented cutting edge leadership development programs.

Lynn holds a PhD with a Cognate in Industrial/Organizational Psychology, an MS in Counseling, and an MS in Administration.  Lynn is a Master Certified Coach, Board Certified Coach, Master NLP Practitioner, Certified NLP Coach, and was a founding member of ICF’s Internal Coaching Special Interest Group.  She is also past-President of the American Society for Training and Development (ASTD-SEVA). and was a member of its National Executive Committee.

Annette Kane-Shine, BCC

Annette Kane-Shine has a full range of professional development and human resource experience with specific concentration in the area of leadership coaching and training. She has spent the last 15 years designing, managing and teaching full scale professional development programs for all levels of employee groups from entry level supervisors through senior executive leadership teams. Integral to all of the programming and coaching Annette does is the Myers Briggs Type Indicator and customized 360 assessments for her diverse client population. Using these types of tools, Annette is able to quickly ascertain areas of strength and continued development for teams and individuals. With this type of insight, Annette focuses on helping them to develop effective communication patterns, improve their emotional intelligence, and build and sustain trusting relationships.

Annette has worked independently for all sectors of employers including corporate businesses, manufacturing facilities, government agencies and non-profit entities. She has served as Adjunct Faculty for Tidewater Community College, as well as Old Dominion University.

Annette’s formal credentials include a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership from The University of San Diego and a Bachelor’s of Arts degree in Interpersonal Communication from Juniata College, Huntingdon, Pennsylvania. Annette is a Board Certified Coach, and she holds a Senior Professional Human Resource (SPHR) certification, as well as the newly created SHRM-SCP.
